Sheku "Shake" Alieu
Sheku “Shake” Alieu was born and raised in Dorchester, MA to parents George and Florence Alieu. He graduated from Boston Latin High School where he took college prep courses including five years of Latin, two years of French, and mathematics classes up to calculus one. Shake excelled at football and basketball and eventually won a football scholarship at Howard University. Shake started at outside linebacker for the only undefeated team in the history of Howard University football and was ultimately elected into the Howard University Athletic Hall of Fame. Academically, he achieved Dean’s List honors and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Management.
Post-graduation, Shake returned to Dorchester to purchase and operate a wine and spirits shop with his brother and partner James. He took a liking to the wine and spirits business and went on to function as a state distributor manager for companies like Heineken USA, Pernod Ricard USA, and Miller Coors. Currently, Shake works as a Regional Manager for Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits Company. In his spare time, he sings with The United Voices of First Baptist Church of Glenarden, chairs the senior citizens banquet program, the fundraising committee, and is a season ticket holder and regular attendee of games of The Dallas Cowboys at AT&T stadium.
